Terms and Conditions for online Zoom felting classes

  • Payments are due at the time of the booking to secure your date. Payments are non-refundable.

  • You, the client, accepts responsibility for collecting monies and paying for all members of the group. I can not accept individual payments.

  • You, the client are responsible for ensuring group members are fully aware of the terms & conditions of their booking.

  • Payments is to be made via an invoice I will send to you once your booking has been confirmed. You can pay via Stripe (preferred method) or Paypal

  • VAT - All payments due are inclusive of VAT (unless otherwise stated).

  • International Transactions - If processing the payment from abroad (outside of the UK) the sender is liable for all and any transaction charges / exchange fees.

  • A Zoom link will be provided to you, the client, to share with the members of the group via email after booking.

  • Enough time must be given between the booking date and the date of the felting class for the materials pack to arrive. I post using Royal Mail First Class with tracking. If the booking is made with short notice I highly recommend using Special Delivery. Short notice being 5 working days or less till the felting class date. No refunds or replacement packs will be given or sent if your materials pack does not arrive in time if: booking is 5 working days or less and Special Delivery has not been used.

  • I cannot accept responsibility for materials packs not arriving in time for the felting class. I highly recommend allowing at least 10 working days (2 weeks) before the day of the felting class for your packs to arrive. This ensures plenty of time is allowed for your materials pack to arrive

  • You will need a soft surface to needle felt upon. You can purchase a rice sack from my shop which you will need to fill with rice BEFORE the felting class takes place. Alternatively, you can fill a large sock (men's large size) with rice and tie a knot in the end. The sock will need approx a kilo of rice in it. This must be done BEFORE your felting class.

  • The purpose of the rice sack/sock is to catch the tips of the needles when felting to prevent them snapping or damaging your work surface.

  • If your materials pack  has become lost in the postal system I will resend a materials pack to you at my cost. However it is your responsibility to notify me that your materials pack has not arrived. Please give me at least 5 working days notice of this to allow a replacement to get to you in time.  If you do not give me 5 working days notice I cannot guarantee your replacement pack will arrive in time for the class and no refunds will be issued in this instance. If there is less than 5 working days (because you haven't notified me that your parcel is lost) your materials pack will need to be sent Special Delivery at your cost.

  • It is your responsibility to collect your materials pack from the delivery office in time for the felting class if Royal Mail leave you a 'missed delivery' note. It is your responsibility to provide me with your full and correct address.

  • I will try my best to accommodate any additional people wanting to attend the felting class IF there is enough time to post additional materials packs (longer than 5 working days.) Short notice additional attendees will need to pay for Special Delivery at their cost). Payment will due immediately and via BACS (I will send payment details)

  • If the Booking Party arrives at the activity with an increased number of persons to those confirmed on the booking form the felting class will not go ahead until the additional people/person has left the Zoom room.

  • Please keep in mind your own safety with tools and equipment you may be using. Felting needles are very sharp and need to be used with care. This will be explained to you at the start of the felting class.

  • I will be happy to help and may step in if I feel you are unable to use the felting needles safely. Please do not take offence at this; it is for your own safety.

  • I am not liable for any injury sustained through misuse of felting needles. The safe use of the needles will be explained at the start of the felting class and it is your responsibility as the adult attending the felting class to use the needles responsibly

  • Children aged 10 upwards are able to participate in a felting class under direct supervision of a responsible adult.  I do not accept responsibility if the child is under 10 and I have been misled to believe they are aged 10 and upwards. It is the parent's responsibility to ascertain whether their child is capable and sensible enough to use barbed felting needles. Children not listening to safety instructions, misbehaving or acting in a manner that endangers themselves and those around them will be asked to leave the felting class for their own safety.. No refunds will be offered.

ZOOM & Connection

  • Should there be a problem with my internet connection (disconnection, sound & image quality issues) and the workshop cannot go ahead I will work with you to arrange a different date/time to run your felting class. If this is not possible I will issue you with a refund minus the retail value of the materials pack which you can keep if they have been sent out. In this instance you are welcome to post the materials pack back to me providing (obtain proof of posting/tracking as it is your responsibility to ensure they arrive safely back to me) they are unopened and in a re- saleable condition  I will then offer you a full refund. Material packs returned in an unsaleable condition will receive a partial refund for the pack. It is important that the felting needles are not used for hygiene reasons.

  • I cannot be held liable if any member of the group experiences connectivity issues or disconnection at any point through the felting class and the issue is with their internet connection. No refunds will given in the event of disconnection or connectivity issues at your end.

  • Should someone experience connectivity or disconnection issues and miss some of the felting class, I will endevour to help that individual as much as is reasonable, in order for them to be able to complete their project.

  • I strongly suggest you join the Zoom class 10 minutes before the start  time to ensure we can iron out any technical glitches. I also strongly suggest you familiarise yourself with Zoom a day or two before your class to ensure you are confident with joining your class on time on the day.

  • Delays -

    • (i). If you (the group) are late arriving / starting a  felting class, your session will still finish at the previously confirmed time.

  • Changes to Booking -

    • (i). Where possible, I will try to accommodate any requests to amend the main event details, (including, but not limited to;  felting class activity, event date, etc.), made after your booking has been confirmed but is more than two weeks away from the event, but cannot guarantee being able to do so.

    • (ii). Should you need to amend the main event details, or reschedule the booking within the two week period leading up to the booking, I will endeavour to help but cannot guarantee being able to do so.

  • Cancellation -

    • (i). If you (the group) chose to cancel, no refunds, compensation or damages will be due.

    • (ii). Cancellation or changes may be made by The Woolly Rabbit when safety conditions are compromised or due to unforeseeable circumstances. If cancellations occur in such circumstances I will endeavour to make every effort to reschedule where possible. If not possible I will arrange a refund.

    • If individual  members cannot attend they are welcome to give/resell their place on the felting class to another interested person but please let me know. Refunds are not given.

  • Force Majeure - The Woolly Rabbit will not be liable or pay you compensation, damages or a refund if our contractual obligations to you are affected by any event which I cannot, even with all due care, foresee or avoid. This includes but is not limited to; war, or threat of war, strikes, riot, civil strife, industrial dispute, terrorist activity, natural or nuclear disaster, fire, adverse weather conditions, technical problems affecting transport or any similar events beyond my control.

  • Essential contact information (ie. name, phone numbers, and venue address) will be held by myself and conform with GPDR

  • Any alternative contact details for other people within your party shared with me, must be done so with their consent. This includes the postal address where I send the material packs.
