Bergschaf Carded Batt in undyed natural white

This wool is perfect to use as a Core Wool when beginning your 3D projects. The undyed batt is in it's natural off white colour and makes a perfect base to build upon with your coloured wool.

It is slightly softer than the New Zealand wool and is lovely to touch.

This Bergschaf carded batt has shorter fibres which readily felt together, this wool is so easy to work with and is great for needle felting 3D pieces and 'painting with wool' 2D pictures.  It is also great for wet felting.

The wool is taken straight off the batt so will arrive as an irregular shaped piece all neatly rolled up.

What is Carded wool?

Carded wool is fleece that has been cleaned and then processed over a large drum roller.

The fibres remain interwoven and lay in different directions. Carded wool can come in sheets (batts) or slivers (continuous lengths). Because the wool fibres lay in different directions, it makes it much easier to felt with as the fibres readily bind together.

This wool is imported from DHG

Please note:

* Your wool may contain a very small amount of vegetable matter.

*  I have tried very hard to capture an accurate representation of the wool colour but cannot guarantee complete accuracy due to the difference between computer monitor screens.

*This wool is carefully selected to ensure constant quality over time. All lots are MULESING FREE.
